River Meadow welcomes children from 2.5 years old until they start primary school- we also have availability for children from 2 years old if in receipt of – “Time for Two’s Funding”
We offer:
- 3 hour morning sessions from 9:00am to 12:00pm
- 3 hour afternoon sessions 12:00pm to 3:00pm (including own packed lunch)
- Full day sessions 9:00am to 3:00pm for children over 3 years
At River Meadow your child is cared for by highly qualified staff who are passionate about giving your child the best start in their early education. Each child is allocated a key person throughout their time with us who works in partnership with their parent/carer to ensure their child’s individual needs are met. We work to government guideline ratios of 1:5 for two year olds and 1:8 for over three’s.
There are extensive learning opportunities through play and exploration across two large indoor classrooms as well as a large outdoor space which hosts a covered patio area, large physical apparatus, mud kitchen and planting area where the children help to grow flowers and vegetables. We ensure an inclusive environment catering for special educational needs and disabilities.
Children in our care benefit from our strong links with Tickford Park Primary School and local community groups. We provide opportunities for your family to be directly involved in supporting your child’s progress and development in readiness for school.
River Meadow is a parent committee run setting who actively organise fundraising events.
Breakfast Club
Our breakfast club runs for children of Tickford Park Primary School Monday – Friday during term time. The session runs from 7:40am until 8:40am. The cost of this session includes a healthy breakfast, fund activities and ends with us escorting your child to their classroom. Sessions cost £5.00
Early Starters
We offer a half an hour early start for morning session attendees from 8:30am until the start of the morning session at 9:00am. Sessions cost £2.00.

Pre School Morning Session
Our morning sessions run for children aged 2-4 years. The session runs from 9:00am until 12:00pm. The cost of this session includes a wide range of indoor and outdoor fun and educational activities including healthy snack and a drink. The cost of this session is £17.00
Pre School Afternoon Session
Our afternoon sessions run for children aged 2-4 years. The session runs from 12:00pm until 3:00pm. Children will need to bring their own healthy packed lunch with them for this session. The cost of this session includes a wide range of indoor and outdoor fun and educational activities. The cost of this session is £17.00
Pre School All Day Session
Our all day sessions run for Pre School aged children aged 2-4 years. The session runs from 9:00am until 3:00pm. Children will need to bring their own healthy packed lunch with them for this session. The cost of this session includes a wide range of indoor and outdoor fun and educational activities including healthy snack and a drink. The cost of this session is £34.00
